21c Museum is North America’s first museum dedicated solely to collecting and exhibiting the art of the 21st century. 21c features permanent, commissioned installations, and presents dynamic group and solo exhibitions by both emerging and established artists. 21c is currently exhibiting Albono Afonso's first solo exhibition in the U.S.

Located just north of Downtown in Over the Rhine, Cincinnati’s hip and historic neighborhood, Nicola’s Ristorante Italiano has long been a fine dining staple of the city during its two decades of operation. Owners Nicola and Maureen Pietoso pride their restaurant not only for its highly acclaimed contemporary Italian menu, extensive wine list, and variety of unique dining spaces, but most especially for their restaurant’s long-standing reputation for being warmly hospitable and accommodating. While studiying Culinary Arts at Cincinati State's Midwest Culinary Institute, I had the honor and privelege working at Nicola's alongside some of the finest chefs in Cincinnati.

I am interested in the notion of ART as NURISHMENT & NURISHMENT as ART and how might art educators integrate culinary education into a Visual Arts curriculum.

"Architect and designer Neri Oxman is the Sony Corporation Career Development Professor and Associate Professor of Media Arts and Sciences at the MIT Media Lab, where she founded and directs the Mediated Matter design research group. Her group conducts research at the intersection of computational design, digital fabrication, materials science and synthetic biology and applies that knowledge to design across scales from the micro scale to the building scale. Her goal is to enhance the relationship between the built and the natural environments by employing design principles inspired or engineered by Nature and implementing them in the invention of novel digital design technologies. Areas of application include product and architectural design, as well as digital fabrication and construction."

Some of Oxman's work has been displayed at MoMA and is part of the museum's  permanent  collection.
